Farah Social Foundation (FSF) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, committed to the International human rights law and International humanitarian law and abides by their provisions; founded in 1988 and registered in Lebanon under number 320/20.

Mission: Field Officer mission is to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of the project on the ground.

Brief: Field officer is responsible for ensuring the high-quality implementation of project activities. The Field Officer will coordinate closely with the beneficiaries in the targeted locations and ensure the appropriate implementation of project activities in the field.

Job duties:

• Conduct the vulnerability assessment of beneficiaries in coordination with volunteers.
• Execute the plan for the project as outlined by the project coordinator.
• Support the project coordinator in planning the distribution of food parcels and ready to eat meals based on the agreed criteria of individuals and following the distribution including selection of families, notification of support, logistical preparations for the site distributions and engagement of relevant partners.
• Pro-actively contribute to day-to-day project implementation and ensure conformity to expected results and project work-plan.
• Collect the necessary information and data in order to produce informative reports.
• Ensure that food items are procured, transported, stored, and distributed efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate transportation, storage facilities, and distribution points, considering factors like accessibility, security, and cultural norms.
• Address any challenges that arise during distribution and report back to project coordinator.
• Gather feedback from beneficiaries to continuously improve the distribution process.
• Support the MEAL officer in conducting field monitoring.
• Perform others duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in one or several of the following areas: social work or business administration and management.
• Experience in field distribution and outreach work.
• Extensive knowledge in dealing with local partners.
• Extensive experience interacting with different stakeholders including beneficiaries, local authorities and municipalities’ leaders.
• Knowledge in writing clear and results oriented reports.
• Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
• Ability to work under pressure.

Experience:  From 3 to 5 years.
