Jop Purpose
The psychotherapist is part of the mental health team and works closely with the mental health nurse, case worker and psychiatrist. He/She will follow up with other MH team members providing guidance for the case managers when needed and coordinating with the psychiatrist about non-pharmacological interventions needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete the appropriate intake, assessment, and follow up of beneficiaries in need of psychotherapy.
- Provide appropriate diagnosis to patients in need of psychotherapy.
- Provide the appropriate psychotherapeutic intervention and psychosocial support to patients in need of psychotherapy.
- Coordinate with the mental health team (MH case workers, Mh nurse,psychiatrist, MHPSS coordinator) on the implementation of all interventions and activities.
- Refer patients to the psychiatrist or MH case worker when needed.
- Report on mental health activities and data collected.
- When required, participate in regular meetings and necessary training.
Skills
- Ability to conduct structured clinical assessments and clear case formulation
- Ability to use standardized assessment tools
- Ability to develop a consistent and adequate treatment plan with clear objectives
- Experience in using evidence-based approach in mental health (e.g., IPT, CBT,TF-CBT, EMDR)
